As a mother of 2, I love working with other mamas. We give so much of ourselves and our time, and it's really easy to get burnt out, let alone stay in touch with our femininity. Add all of the changes to our bodies and the stress of trying to make sure everything and everyone is taken care of, the idea of pampering ourselves - in our underwear - seems like a really far fetched idea.
Miss A had put off booking a boudoir shoot for years, and when I ran a fundraiser for Kindred Space LA she felt like it was the perfect time for her to take the leap - even though she still felt nervous because of a change in her weight. I'll let you read how she felt afterwards : )
Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? No.
Did you have any fears or hesitations around doing a boudoir shoot?
Yes as I am at times insecure about some of my weight gain over the years.
What motivated or inspired you to do your boudoir shoot? Why was it important to you? To embrace and love the body I have now!
What was your favorite part of the session?
The opportunity to wear lingerie!
How did this boudoir shoot and seeing your images affect you? Definitely boosted my confidence and contributed in the building of my love for self.
Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different? I had no explanation, but I'm just glad that Allison set the bar and gave me an expectation with any photographer.
What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything? I would not change a thing. I love all of the direction Allison provided.
How would you describe your images? How does it feel to have these images of yourself that you can keep forever? Beautiful.
